Bonds Ranch Residents:
As many of you are aware, the Fort Worth Zoning Commission hearing on the Rio Claro development was held Wednesday afternoon. Honestly, we could not have asked for a better outcome! The Commission decided to grant a 60-day continuance for the zoning request, but insisted that time be used to rework the plan to reduce or eliminate the A-5 housing. Commissioner Jacob Wurman, who represents District 7 on the Commission, insisted that the developer go back and work on A-10 and A-7.5 lots as a buffer between our current communities and the A-5 housing coming in from Cibolo Hills. There is more work to do, but this was as big a win as we could have hoped for!
Many thanks to the committee members who worked with the developers. That work culminated in some concessions from PMB, but did not truly address the overarching concerns of the community. With this ruling from the Zoning Commission, the developer has little choice but to rethink their design and decrease the density significantly.
We promise to keep you informed as things continue to move.
